The Bolide 80, scheduled to make its world debut at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show, is an ultra-fast private motor yacht. According to the results of the first cruise trials, the motor yacht can reach a top speed of 73 knots.
Special Series
The Bolide 80 is the first ‘hyper muscle’ yacht of the special series, of which only ten will be built. The luxury yacht is built using high-tech products including Microtex carbon fiber and customized structural cores developed by Diab.
The Victory Design-designed yacht’s multi-step hull form creates very low drag resistance, which is a major factor in making her very fast. The company stated that the Bolide 80, which glides on an emulsion of water and air, can reach speeds that even water jets with any other hull design cannot reach. The secret of this success belongs to the 15 technicians on board and the two pilots who work on the computer.
More Speed with Less Fuel
The results of the sea trials show that the Bolide 80 consumes one-third less fuel per liter compared to other boats of the same size and speed. Moreover, as the speed difference increases, fuel consumption decreases. Bolide consumes half as much fuel at 50 knots compared to another flybridge motor yacht at 30 knots.
The yacht has two independent rudders, allowing easy steering even at high speeds. The configuration is ideal with the flaps and propulsion system used. Bolide 80 also received valid marks in the tests conducted on seaworthiness, comfort and safe travel.
It Fills the Eyes with Its Different Style
Designed to protect the captain from sunlight and wind during sailing, the curved shape of the roof reduces friction. At 24 meters long, Bolide is the embodiment of sportiness, elegance and refinement.
The personalized interior design is well rationalized, combining contemporary style with simplicity. The materials used on board are of high quality and natural fabrics such as linen, silk and cashmere.
The galley on the port side is finished in natural teak, matte leather and cognac-colored lacquer. Access to the interior is via two ways connecting to the cockpit.
Multifunctional Living Room Use
The master stateroom with queen-size bed, desk, wardrobe and private bathroom leads directly to the galley. The bar is also connected to the galley. From the starboard side, you can access the cabin, which can be converted into a guest cabin with TV and en-suite bathroom, or the saloon, which can be used as a day head.
There is an interactive screen and a chart table with two monitors for general control of all the yacht’s systems. Directly opposite is the bar with a sink and a refrigerated wine cellar. At the stern of Bolide 80 there is another bar for liquor.
Harmony of Colors
The center area is undoubtedly the most comfortable part of the boat. The C-shaped sofa can be used for conversation on the starboard side and dining on the other side. You can see the transverse curtains both in the galley at the stern and in the owner’s private area at the bow. The reason why curtains are preferred transversely is to make the most of the space. The dominant colors are chosen to match the furniture and the hull.
The owner’s private area at the bow is accessed through the vestibule, which can also function as an optional dressing room. Two side cabinets, a bench seat and a sideboard create a useful form. A bathroom with marble sink, walk-in closet, toilet and shower also belongs to this private area. Complemented with a gray silk carpet, the room also has two dressers and a bed.
