New details have emerged from the third production Flexplorer 146 built by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CDM).
The boat is similar to the first in the series, Maverick, with an enlarged wheelhouse. Winch Design is working on the interior design of the special model. The production motto of Flexplorer 146 is called ‘young and enthusiastic’.
‘Green’ Yacht Decoration
The British design studio has created a stylish interior with earthy colors, matt surfaces and organic textures. The ‘green’ movement is accompanied by many materials, including reclaimed seashell composite, eggshell polishes, recycled fishing nets, woven grass and wood. Examples include a ‘green living wall’ made from preserved seaweed, carpets made from fishing nets and the use of seashell composite materials throughout the bathrooms.
Convertible Large Area
The interior layout of the yacht is designed according to the owner’s wishes. The cabins are distributed over three decks for accommodation. Six cabins are allocated for guests and six for the crew. On the main deck, there are three guest cabins, including two twin cabins and a large double cabin that can be converted into a training room or studio. While the master suite takes its place on the owner’s deck, it also benefits from the space of the private aft terrace and forward saloon, which houses one of the two cold plunge pools.
Flexplorer’s superstructure has ample space for a 10-meter dinghy, two jet skis and a crew boat. This space can be used for al fresco relaxation, entertaining or dining.
Flexplorer 146’s Privileged Cruising Opportunities
Powered by twin engines providing a range of 6,500 nautical miles, the Flexplorer 146 will reach a top speed of 14 knots. The specially built model will also be able to cruise in marine protected areas such as the Galapagos. Thanks to two pairs of electro-propelled stabilizer fins, the seakeeping is very good. Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and sales and marketing director of CDM: “We decided to emphasize customization to the limit, offering our international customers a concept where each owner can build their own Flexplorer with us”.
